Director of Operations/Co-Owner

Lisa is a licensed Health Officer and Registered Environmental Health Specialist who has worked in public health and community-based prevention for over 30 years.  She has a Doctorate in Public Health and two Masters Degrees. One in public health and one in counseling psychology. 

Her doctoral dissertation centered on the New Jersey governmental public health workforce. She collected primary demographic data and examined the effects of job demands and resources on this workforce, including their intent to leave the field. Her research placed particular emphasis on the mental health challenges faced by these professionals, especially in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. The overarching aim of her work was to generate data that could support advocacy efforts to enhance the well-being of New Jersey residents by strengthening public health infrastructure and building a more resilient governmental public health system.

Lisa has actively been involved in various State level programs over the past fifteen years as well through her participation in the New Jersey Association of County and City Health Officials and the New Jersey Public Health Association, where she has served in various officer positions throughout her tenure.

Other volunteer activities include being a Public Health Accreditation Board Site Visitor, a member of the Rutgers School of Public Health Education Advisory Board and the former Chair of the Hillsborough Board of Health.

Now retired from governmental public health, in addition to being a partner at SHA, Lisa is an adjunct professor for both the School of Public Health and Bloustein School at Rutgers University where she teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses.

Dr. Harrison-Gulla is a member of the prestigious Alpha Eta Chapter of Delta Omega, the national public health honor society.
